Training provided: NVQ level 2 training provided via Kirklees College.
Pay details: Meets apprenticeship wage.
Hours: Wednesday 9.30am-2.30pm, Thursday and Friday (split shifts), 9.30am -2.30pm and 6pm-10pm, Saturday and Sunday, 10am-5pm
Requirements: Applicants should ideally have achieved GCSEs in English and Maths at level 1 or above (or equivalent). A strong work ethic and good attention to detail is required for this post, along with a passion for food.
Minimum age: 16
Description: Working in the kitchen, the successful applicant will do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of the Chef. Duties will include maintaining high standards of hygiene, preparing the ingredients for the senior Chef, measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately, dealing with deliveries, stock rotation, preparing and making sauces, pasta, bread and butter from scratch and other related tasks as required.
