Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (8am-4:45pm) and Friday 8am-3pm

Requirements: Grade C or above in Maths and English (new grades 4-9) would be preferred but each person will be considered on their individual merits. Good IT skills are essential for this position.

Description: Working as an Apprentice Technical Sales Advisor means you will be meeting and helping a lot of customers each day, so you will be developing great customer service skills and product knowledge. As it is important to keep our stock and payments up-to-date, there is a lot of variety in the role too.

Duties include:

  • To provide potential and existing customers with the highest level of customer service
  • To deal with enquiries (face-to-face, phone, email and web) from customers in a courteous, professional and knowledgeable way
  • Effectively communicate the products and services offered by the company
  • Receive goods into the company and enter them onto the company computer system
  • To correctly process sales for customers, quoting correct pricing, delivery date and stock requirements and ensuring all documents are filed correctly
  • Safely packaging customers items for return by carrier, and entering information onto database
  • Carry out stock checks
  • Maintain general housekeeping duties within the work area
  • Participate as an effective and willing team member to achieve individual and team goals
  • Assist with any other reasonable requests in order to fulfil the requirements of the role
  • Ensuring that the Policies of the company are observed and that good practice is encouraged, particularly in the areas of Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and confidentiality
