The Keys, Huddersfield is a restaurant and coffee shop situated in the crypt of St Peters, the Parish Church in Huddersfield.

Training provided: NVQ level 2 Catering training via Kirklees College.

Pay details: Meets minimum apprenticeship wage

Hours: 39 hours, Monday to Saturday 9am – 3.30pm. Some Saturday evenings on a rota basis.

Requirements: Applicants should have strong communication skills and a good work ethic. Applicants will undergo an initial screening in Maths and English to show they are working at level 1 or GCSE or above.

Minimum age: 16

Description: Working in a local restaurant/coffee shop, duties will include preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food. Washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients, preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Other duties will include preparing  cold foods, operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, cleaning down and disinfecting the kitchen area and other related duties.
